The Giles County Cattlemen’s Association (GCCA) hosted its 2025 Spring Field Day at Brick Church Meats and More. More than 70 members and guests attended the event, which began with a pancake breakfast followed by a tour of the newly constructed processing facilities.
The meeting officially started with the introduction of the GCCA officers and board members: President Curtis Mitchell, Vice President Jennifer Williamson, Secretary/Treasurer Celena Williams, and board members Dwight Watson, Dan Marchant, Mark Warren, and Russ Underwood.
The program featured guest speaker Brian Ladd from United Farm & Home, who discussed marketing and selling freezer beef. Attendees also heard updates from Charles Hord, TCA Executive Vice President, and Kevin Rose, Giles County Extension Agent.
The GCCA thanked Brad and Brooklynn Young for hosting the event, Flowers Creamery for donating milk for the pancake breakfast, and the Giles County FFA youth for their volunteer support.
